Currency

The Euro is used in Luxembourg, as it is in most European countries.  Though Luxembourg is small, it has a very strong economy, and has one of the highest standards of living.

Food

Luxembourg has a very diverse population, which results in a very diverse assortment of food from many different countries.  But its traditional food is similar to French and German cuisine.  Most meals include potatoes, vegetables, and meat.

The country has many award winning restaurants.  Breakfast is normally bread and jam.  Lunch is the main meal of the day and it often has pork, beef, sausage, or fish and potatoes.  Dinner is normally just a salad, sandwich or soup, it is eaten between 6:30 and 7:30.  One traditional meal is judd mat gaardebounen, a smoked pork collar with beans in a creamy sauce.  Sausages and sauerkraut are also traditional foods, and a traditional dessert is quetschentaart, a plum tart.
